From October 6-8, School of Project Management (SPM) set up at Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) conducted one of SPM training courses entitled “Project Leadership, Management and Communications”. The School of Project Management was established with organizational support from BHOS, sponsorship from BP and partner companies and technical support from British companyTwenty Eight Strategy Execution(Stratex). Training courses at SPM are developed on the basis of programs of The George Washington University, the USA.
The training course is conducted by Peter O’Neil, one of the best professionals of Stratex company. Peter is an international expert and trainer with more than 25 years of experience in Project Management. He works at BP's Global Projects Institute and spends more than 50% of his time on coaching and training. In the past 10 years, Peter O’Neil has delivered public programs for Strategy Execution in Europe, Middle East and Africa and worked on in-company programs with major companies including BP, Nasdaq, Solvay, SNP Lavalin, Saudi Aramco and Unilever.
This course helps the program participants to learn how to lead project teams through more effective communication, identify motivational value systems toimprove productivity and cooperation, recognise the role of business and personalethics in leadership, identify appropriate leadership strategies for each stage, and create a Leadership Development Plan.
BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov met with the program participants and wished them to achieve more successes in their future work. He also expressed his gratitude to Peter O’Neil for his visit to Baku.
